Hawaii Off-Grid is an Architecture and Engineering firm located in Haiku, Maui with a focus on sustainability and modern design.
We’re looking for a incredible individuals to join our team and grow with our company! Our ideal candidates are passionate about finding sustainable and unique solutions, net-zero / off-grid design, and a desire to always improve the status quo within our community.

Job Requirements Structural Engineer
• A Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in Engineering
• 1 to 3 years of experience working in a professional office setting
• Full-Time (40 hours/week) and in person position. This is not a remote position
• Experience or proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP2000, or comparable. Knowledge in ArchiCAD is a plus and preferred.
• Efficiency in our Project Management Software - Monday, Google Suite, Adobe Suite, and Dropbox.
Responsibilities
• Developing Structural details for our Architectural designs
• Drafting details and structural notes
• Collaborating with our Designers to come up with structural solutions
• Managing our Structural Details Library
• Creating templates and efficiency in the work process
• Structural Assessments / Observations of existing structures or structures in construction
• Developing Construction and Permit Sets
Qualities/Skills We Are Looking For
• Strong Design and 3D modeling skills
• Experience working in a collaborative environment to develop project and solutions
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving and communication skills
• Capable of managing multiple projects at a time
• Detailed, organized, and excellent time management
• Ability to prioritize workflow and deadlines
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
You will be working closely with our Structural Engineer, Principal, and our Design Team on a variety of projects. Our firm is diversified in the type of jobs we take on so there’s plenty of opportunity to gain experience and exposure to job specific needs. In addition, we have a full operations team that will be available for support in management and assigning projects.
Hawaii Off-Grid is always growing so there will be ample opportunity to grow with our company. That being said, responsibilities may grow over time in which you’ll be compensated accordingly.
